SLEEPING
Ah, sleep. Your sweet new bundle of joy may sleep as much as 17 hours a day – even if you're losing sleep because of their irregular schedules! For newborns, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends sleeping with your child skin-to-skin when possible (a great chance for mom or dad to rest, too!), and when putting baby down, having a flat, firm, secure surface (crib or free from loose bedding, bumpers, and toys).
